Final Exam Part 3

.The three types of plate boundaries are: divergent, convergent, and transform. a divergent boundary is the boundary between two tectonic plates that are moving apart. A convergent boundary is the line where two tectonic plates move towards each other. A transform boundary is
Transform boundaries occur where plates slide or, perhaps more accurately, grind past each other along transform faults.

Final Exam Part 2

the universe is a oval shaped mass of planets and gases. it is about 91,000 meters wide and 12 and
16 billion years old. the galaxy was formed by a nebula of dust and gas in a spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy about 4.6 billion years ago. Observations of cosmic microwave background helped determine the age of our galaxy. When the universe formed with the Big Bang, it was very hot.
After the first generation or so of stars, the universe started to look a lot as is does now. Large-scale structures, such as galaxies, clusters, and superclusters, had their frameworks laid in the initial giant clouds of gas. As stars formed in the same vicinity, they became gravitationally bound, and galaxies and clusters of galaxies formed. All of this happened over 10 billion years ago, and since then, the universe has been relatively the same.

Final Exam

The geosphere (the part of earth in which there are rocks and minerals), the atmosphere (the part of earth that protects us from the sun), the hydrosphere (all the water on earth, including bodies of water, water vapor, ice, etc.), and the biosphere (where the humans and animals live).
The impact that we humans have on our planet is extreme. For example, Deforestation is a huge problem. When we cut down trees, we reduce the population of many animal species, and we release tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Like I said earlier, the atmosphere protects the earth and it's inhabitants from the sun. So if the atmosphere gets damaged in any way, the earth will be exposed to the ultra-violet rays of the sun. This will probably burn earth to a crisp. The more trees we cut down the closer we get to destroying ourselves.

WES D

WES D was a little strange. At first I didn't know what I was reading, but once i looked at the drawing, i understood what I was reading. I learned that the wind changes the direction of the water currents.

WES C

WES C was quite interesting. the card thing was a little hard partly because I couldn't hold my pencil down and move the card. the questions were a little strange. But other than that I liked it. At this point I don't really know I learned anything. I'll have to tell you that later.

Deforestation 2

Many conservationists have tried to come up with a solution to deforestation. But so far nothing has been sucessful. The main threats to forests are logging, land clearing (for farming) and urban sprawl. All these things are caused by man and his machines. Humans are destroying their forests and we aren't doing anything about it.

Deforestation

Deforestation is a big problem many animals lose their homes, mothers and babies get separated and animals get killed. Deforestation also affects our oxygen level on earth and it changes our atomosphere. Deforestation could be the reason for global warming, i don't know how. (I heard someone say that) Some people have come up with a solution for deforestation, every time you cut down a tree you plant a new one. But trees grow very slowly so it will take a while for the forests to grow back. Many conservations are concerned that deforestation will lead to the exinction of many species of animals, birds, reptiles, and bugs. some of which are already rare. here are some of the animals threatened by deforestation:
